The Mandt System®

The focus of The Mandt System® is on building healthy relationships between all stakeholders in the human service’s setting to facilitate the development of an organisational culture that provides the emotional, psychological, and physical safety needed for safe and healthy environments.

The Mandt System® is a comprehensive, integrated and least restrictive approach to preventing, de-escalating, and if necessary, intervening when the behaviour of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves and/or others.

The training is beneficial for all staff working directly with clients.

Mandt integrates knowledge about the neurobiological impact of trauma with the principles of positive behaviour support and provides a framework that empowers service providers to do their work in a way that minimizes the use of coercion/restrictions in behaviour change methodologies.

The Mandt System® can help individuals and teams find appropriate solutions to resolve issues that are most often found at the relational level such as respect, dignity and trust. The model works to ensure that all people can believe that “in this place and with these people I feel safe”.
