Training for NDIS Providers Implementing Behaviour Support Plans

Equipping support workers with the knowledge, skills and approaches to effectively and ethically implement positive behaviour support.

Guidestar’s training programs are led by experienced Guidestar behaviour support practitioners.  This training will contribute to your organisation meeting its obligations under the NDIS Practice Standard: Implementing Behaviour Support Plans Module.

Guidestar offers two training opportunities focusing on the fundamentals of Implementing Positive Behaviour Support:

Mandt® Training:

An externally accredited program, “The Mandt System® is a comprehensive, integrated and least restrictive approach to preventing, de-escalating, and if necessary, intervening when the behaviour of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves and/or others.”

Focuses on building healthy and safe relationships between support workers and NDIS participants.  Explores positive behaviour interventions and supports.

  • 16 hour program
  • Led by Mandt® certified instructors
  • In person training
  • Covers relational skills and physical self-protective interactions
  • Covers evidence-informed practice approaches to behaviour support

From $600 (incl GST) per person

The Fundamentals of Implementing Positive Behaviour Support

Developed by Guidestar behaviour support practitioners, this workshop provides participants with the underpinning knowledge and strategies for Implementing Positive Behaviour Support.

  • 8 hour program
  • Delivered by experienced Guidestar behaviour support practitioners
  • Can be delivered in person training or virtually
